Marlene Visits Kansas and Missouri

A beautiful sun set in Missouri

Spring is coming to a close and summer is upon us in Alabama.  This may be the main reason Marlene chose to travel to the Midwest through the month of May!  After meeting many new friends at the Kansas District Council back in April, Marlene was excited to be back in the Midwest in May.

Thanks to her sister Lori, and many other new friends, Marlene was able to meet many widows and pastors all around Kansas and Missouri.  There was stories shared, tears cried, and new bonds made over the 30 days she was in the Midwest.  Marlene was also able to experience adventures like Silver Dollar City and Lambert's Cafe, along with visiting where her and her husband Wayne dated at Evangel.

We are excited to hear the hearts of the pastors we were able to get to know and look forward to partnering with many of them in the years to come as we continue to expand the reach and influence of Widows Link beyond just the state of Alabama.  We were able to share the vision and purposes of Widows Link with Senior small groups, family camp, and many churches.  Each and every church, pastor, and church leader opened their arms and helped us feel so welcomed.  God is doing great things in Kansas and Missouri and we look forward at Widows Link to playing our part to Connect, Discover, and Empower widows to live as God has designed them to live.
