Widows Link Banquet in Mississippi
Pastor Scott Davis at Kingston Assembly of God in Laurel, Mississippi has caught the heart and passion of Widows Link and that heart has moved into action. Pastor Scott and the fellowship at Kingston Assembly put together their first Widows Link Banquet to reach the widows in their community in Mississippi. Marlene was the key note speaker along side the Mississippi's District Woman's Ministry Director, Teresa Youngblood.
Marlene was able to share a message of hope and encouragement on the Heart of God towards widows. Each of the widows in attendance were able to hear Marlene's redemptive story of losing her husband and how God has given her a new purpose and a new future. There were games for those in attendance along with being entered to win a drawing for many different door prizes. The passion for widows of Dorthy Kirkwood and the congregation of Kingston Assembly was evident to everyone in attendance. We were privileged to take part and partner with this amazing fellowship as they began a ministry to widows in their own community. This banquet served as the kick-off to their ministry.
God continues to expand the reach and influence of Widows Link. We continue to get emails for churches and widows who need help, show support, and give towards the mission and goals of Widows Link. Each conference, each banquet, each speaking engagement is another opportunity for the message and heart of Widows Link to encourage and inspire believers into action. From this website to the Uniquely His magazine, Widows Link is beginning to stir the hearts of men and woman around the country into action, into practicing genuine religion according to James 1. Thank you to the congregation and church leaders in Mississippi for spreading this message and hope to the widows in your community.
