Wrapping Up the Christmas Season

December, and the entire holiday season, is a busy time of the year for most Americans.  While many of us find ourselves checking off our to do lists and Christmas wants lists, Marlene Craft spent her holiday season on the other side of these shopping trips.  Marlene had the opportunity to spend most of the month of December wrapping gifts at Barnes and Noble in Hoover, Alabama.

She had help from church members and widows in the area who volunteered their time and Christmas energy to wrap gifts for donations to Widows Link. We are thankful that we were able to raise over $3,500 through the month of December. The funds raised and gifts wrapped was part of the impact Widows Link made through the Christmas holiday. While wrapping, Marlene and her helpers were able to minister to dozens of people.  There were widows, singles, and even a daughter who had just lost her dad a week before Christmas. God opened so many doors to touch people’s lives and share the love of Jesus with them in action and in prayers.

We want to send out a special thank you to each and every volunteer who sacrificed time with their families during the holiday season.  There were many who came multiple times during the month to serve and give their time in raising funds for Widows Link. We appreciate all you have given towards this ministry. Each person who was touched through this wrapping project is a result of those who support Widows Link in action, in prayer and in their financial giving.  Thank you for your continued support as we launch into 2017 together and see the best year ever for Widows Link.
