"In The Midst" by Marlene Craft

Chris Tomlin's song Sovereignty, says, "Whatever comes my way I will trust you."   Recently, I had the opportunity to hold this close to my heart as I and my two sons sat in Kirkland Clinic at UAB to hear the doctor say that I have a form of leukemia. (it is called B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma). We choose to trust. I choose to trust and as I do God's perfect peace rules and reigns in my heart, mind, and spirit. Peace that indeed passes all understanding.   Know that the widows program is being written and it will be taken across this nation to equip churches to care for widows.

God’s Word says in Jeremiah 29:11,

"For I know the PLANS I have for you, "says the Lord. "They are plans to PROSPER you and NOT to harm you, plans to give you a HOPE and a FUTURE."

Throughout life we walk through all different challenging times.  Whether it be death, disease, or rough times.  It is in Christ's Word where we find: His light to our path ahead, His breath of life and hope, and His victorious words that ring fourth peace and victory in the midst.  Psalms 118 shouts victory "In the Midst."

· v.1 "Your faithful love endures forever. "

· v.6 "The Lord is FOR me, so I will have NO fear. "

· v. 7 “Yes, the Lord is for me, He WILL help me. "

· v. 13 "My enemies did their best to kill me but the Lord RESCUED me."

· v. 14 "The Lord is my STRENGTH and my song., He has GIVEN me the VICTORY."

· v. 15 "Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. "

Yes, many of us are "IN THE MIDST."  Let me encourage you to breathe in God's Word and sing praises to His name and then may His peace rule and reign in your hearts,  "In The Midst."  I covet your prayers and appreciate all of the support each of you have shown during this new season in my life.  God is faithful and this is a new day and a new season in which God may receive glory through my life.

Thank you again for all of your prayers for me and my family.  Please keep my boys and their families in your prayers during this time as well.  They have been an amazing support and help during this season.  We are excited to see the glory of God and His faithfulness seen in the days to come.

In Christ,

Marlene Craft
